I am a Ph.D. candidate in Social Psychology at the University of Kansas. My research examines how social and interpersonal experiences shape singlehood and relationship well-being. In particular, I study family pressure to partner and its implications for single individuals’ well-being, as well as how attachment-related priming influence experiences of singlehood and well-being. I am also interested in improving attachment priming methodologies and understanding when and for whom these interventions are most effective.

A second line of my research investigates how people’s expectations and standards for current or potential partners vary across cultural contexts and how these expectations relate to relationship status and relationship satisfaction.
