Biography —

Dasha studies how facial expressions and other nonverbal signals are communicated and interpreted, as well as how these signals become coordinated in a dyad's interaction over time (i.e., affective nonverbal synchrony). Her work also examines the functions of affective nonverbal synchrony and how synchrony varies across individuals, relationships, and social contexts. Additionally, she is interested in identifying statistical methods that appropriately capture the nested, dynamic, and interdependent nature of affective data.
