Lori's research interests are broadly related to the Orgasm Gap, sexual commuication, and sexual fludity. Currently, she is interested in women's midlife changes in sexual communication and shifts in sexual self-concept and identity, particularly after life transitions such as relational dissolution and parenthood. Much of her external research is centered around alternative sexualities and sexual diversity at the intersection of neurodivergency. Additionally, she is an advocate for policy reform around mental health care accessiblity for LGBQTAI+ populations.
