Research Lab: Emotions in Context Lab

My research interests include the contextual factors-- social, situational, and individual differences-- that influence people's experiences of emotional processes. Specifically, I'm interested in using naturalistic methods-- experience sampling, mobile sensing and ambulatory physiology-- to capture how emotions are experienced in daily life contexts. Additionally, I'm curious about the individual difference factors that impact someone’s capability to implement expertise in emotion (such as emotional granularity). To what extent is someone’s capability to regulate their emotions a malleable skill that can be improved upon?
